Infertility – Where to Begin

Around 15% of the world population has infertility problems regardless of a country’s development. This makes it a significant problem of public health. 85% of couples practicing unprotected sex will conceive during the first year of trying. The rest will seek medical assistance or manage to get pregnant during the second or the third year of trying. A minimal number of couples will never be able to get pregnant. A couple is considered infertile if:

  • They do not conceive after a year of unprotected sex, and if the woman is under the age of 35,
  • They do not conceive after six months of unprotected sex if the woman is over the age of 35,

A woman conceives, but she cannot carry the pregnancy to term The cause of the age mentioned above difference is that the egg quality drops with the woman’s age, so the whole process needs to be expedited as the woman gets older. Be it as it may, an infertile couple needs to contact their human reproduction specialist after the mentioned timelines pass. The infertility specialist will then:

  • Diagnose the problem
  • Determine necessary tests to be done in order to complete the diagnosis of infertility,
  • Prescribe possible dietary supplements that may help,
  • Create a treatment plan and implement it.

The aim of visiting your human reproduction specialist is to, eventually, give birth to a live and healthy baby. We hope this happens as soon as possible. The texts that can be found on this webpage talk about the most common causes of infertility and the ways and means of diagnosing and treating it. We genuinely hope this will help you on your path towards having a baby.
