Causes of Infertility

Infertility causes are many, with some being more often than others so that we will focus on those with higher incidence rates on this web page. The issue resulting in infertility is divided in half across the gender spectrum, but there are also overlaps, so there are problems in both the male and the female, or no cause can be found, so unexplained or idiopathic infertility exists. The most common known causes of female infertility are anovulation, damaged or blocked tubes, reduced ovary reserve, endometriosis, late reproductive age, amenorrhea, and genetic anomalies of the reproductive tract. On the other hand, causes of male infertility can often be found in poor semen quality (number, motility, and morphology), the reasons of which can be analyzed by conducting urology exams.
