Sana Abbas

She graduated from the University of Health Sciences, Lahore, Pakistan, and received her postgraduation degree in Biochemistry in 2010 from UOL. She did her Master of Philosophy in Molecular Biology from the same University in 2012.

She has been working as an embryologist since 2012. She has helped a couple to conceive and bear a healthy child using the methods of ICSI. She has experience in andrology such as Semen Analysis (Through CASA and SQA-V Gold), Retrograde Ejaculation Sperm Preparation, Post-Vasectomy Screening, as well as embryology-related techniques such as Oocyte pick up along with Identification & grading of oocytes, Zygote and embryo assessment, culture, and transfer, Cryopreservation and thawing of oocytes /embryos, IVF and ICSI.

These experiences, coupled with the upper-level courses that She has taken, fulfill her interest in conducting novel research. Moreover, she has won three grants for presenting her research work 1) European Human Genetics Conference - ESHG 2016, Barcelona, Spain and 2) 13th International Congress of Human Genetics (ICHG2016) Tokyo, Japan, 3) developing country Fellowship grant from the American Society of Human Genetics 2016 held in Vancouver. In addition, she has co-authored several scientific articles and chapters on infertility.
